Since the dawn of time Arabs have used natural incenses as a perfume. Modern day Arab men and especially women carry on this tradition, perfuming their hair, bodies, clothes and homes with such incenses that come in a variety of scents. Our own incense carries the scent of amber with a light touch of musk. We recommend you use it for damp towel dried hair for a stronger scent absorption.

Directions: using an incense burner (Mbkhara) containing a piece of hot coal, place a chip of the Amber Oud and holding up your hair allow smoke to bathe your hair with its scent, or place under clothes to allow scent to soak into clothes, otherwise leave in any room to fragrant your home.

Ziziphus Leaf Scrub

The Ziziphus tree is widely grown in the Arabian region, where nowadays it’s mostly loved for its shade and delicious jujube fruit. However not long ago did the Bedouins use its leaves as a natural soap and shampoo by grinding dried Ziziphus leaves and using it on the hair and body. The Ziziphus leaf has beneficial properties for the skin including clearing it of impurities and having a cooling effect on it. Our concoction using this wonderful leaf for a body scrub allows gentle cleansing and exfoliation to remove dead skin with a softening effect. We recommend you use it once a week.
It must be noted that the contents of one jar allows you to use the scrub three times only.
Tip: try our special Body Butter after using the Ziziphus Leaf Scrub for incredibly glowing skin.

Directions: use a third of the Ziziphus Leaf Scrub to mix with 1 and a half cups of water, stir and allow the mixture to boil for 3 minutes. Apply to your body and using a wet lufa scrub your entire body for 10-15 minutes. Dry your skin gently and apply the Body Butter to moisturize your skin.
